I’ve recently been experimenting with a couple of Wyzecam cameras and have been recommending them to friends, family, and neighbors ever since and everyone seems really happy with them so I figured I’d try and spread the word further and write up a proper review.
The Wyzecam is an incredible camera at a crazy price. It boasts these features:
- 1080p Video
- Records to micro SD card
- Free cloud storage for clips
- Motion detection
- Night vision
- Two-way audio
- Timelapse Feature
All of this for just $25 on Amazon
The only downsides to the camera are:
- It is not designed for outdoor use (but at $25 they are easily replaced!)
- They only support 2.4 Ghz WiFi
I am interested in these cameras for home security as well as seeing wildlife in our back yard at night. I love that they are cheap enough that I can have quite a few of them around the house and yard.
The timelapse feature is fun too. I haven’t had a chance to play with it much yet but here is my first attempt.
We have one Wyzecam in our backyard recording continuously and configured to send alerts when it detects motion. We were recently able to catch this fox strolling past the camera.
They usually show as out of stock on Amazon but every time I place an order they arrive within 1-2 weeks. This is a new product and it seems to be very popular.
